The newest stop always comes first. Each note is a quick family read now, with room for photos, playdate posts, and fuller stories as the tour grows.
Lesley 'Les' Miller Jr. All People's Community Park
Our second visit confirmed why this one was worth returning to: clean bathrooms, fenced turf play, shade over most structures and swings, toddler-friendly features, musical instruments, and a splash pad without a large dumping bucket.

Sutton Park
A large tree-ringed park with a tower, climbing structure, swings, a separate area for smaller kids, and plenty of open grass. The rubber surface and water fountain can get hot because the play area has limited real shade.

New Tampa All Abilities Playground
A super-accessible gated playground set on rubber padding, with the play equipment under shade cloth. Two ziplines, a mister, merry-go-round, seesaw, musical play, and a large bathroom chalkboard give kids lots of ways to explore.

Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park
A large rubber-padded playground on the river with climbing toys and musical features for a wide range of ages. The lawn, splash pad, sports courts, dog areas, paved paths, and city views make it easy to build a full family day around the stop.

Freedom Playground

A spacious park with a playground, sports courts, swings, a pirate ship structure, sand play, musical instruments, a seesaw, and a carousel. The bathrooms were locked during our visit, but the connected paths make the grounds easy to explore.

J.B. Gibson Park

A big open park with plenty of natural shade, a full basketball court, paved walking paths, reservable covered tables, and grassy running space. The playground uses woodchips, and the gated dog park has separate areas for smaller and larger dogs.

All Person's Rotary Park




A bigger and smaller playground sit inside the gated play area, with a covered splash pad connected nearby. A few features need repair, but the library just across the field makes this an easy two-part family stop.

Ballast Point Park




A waterfront playground stop with plenty of grass, a splash pad, open bathrooms, and a fishing pier to explore. The breeze off the water and nearby cafe give families more ways to stretch out the day.

Parrish Community Park
A brand-new park built for long play days, with covered structures, shaded seating, an interactive splash pad, and a huge covered turf field with overhead fans. The amphitheater and little wooden bridge make the whole place feel worth exploring.

Lesley 'Les' Miller Jr. All People's Community Park
A fenced, turf-covered playground with shade over most structures and swings, plus plenty of smaller play pieces for toddlers. A merry-go-round, musical instruments, splash pad, and basketball court add something for almost every kind of play.

Apollo Beach Park & Recreation Center
Two playgrounds serve the younger crowd, while swings, a splash pad with covered seating, sports courts, exercise equipment, and an open field give the whole family room to choose their pace.

SouthShore Sportsplex
The stop that started the tour: a large shaded climbing structure, clean bathrooms, a covered gazebo, and several turf fields. The concession stand may also be open when sports practices are running.
